A review of Dad's Season Tickets

by Lake Siglin, age 11

Hi, I’m Lake and I'm part of the Young Critics’ Club. I saw Dad's Season Tickets, and overall I thought it was awesome.

The first thing I liked was that there were noise makers, because they were fun to use when it was time to clap. The second thing I liked was there were parts of the show where you could hear the game. Even though I’m not a fan of football, I still thought it was cool hearing the game because it is like you're actually in a stadium. The third thing I enjoyed was the set which was done by Michael Talaska.  The stands up high on the stage were cool, and it was like a real stadium.

There were also a few things I didn’t enjoy. Even though the noisemakers were fun, I didn't like how loud they were, and I think they should only give them to a few people. There also was one inappropriate joke, where they were talking about a tight end in pants. I am only mentioning this joke and the noise as a heads up for people who have young children and also for people who do not care for loud noises.

If you have kids who like to eat, I suggest you get a lot of food at the start, because the concession stand is only open before the show and intermission.

Overall, it was good! If you don't like too much noise, I do not suggest it, but if you like football or are a fan of comedy, you should watch it.

Dad's Season Tickets runs through September 28th at the Waukesha Civic Theatre.
