A review of Is This a Room

Hello, Lake here! I saw Is This a Room at Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, and I’ll be reviewing it. First off, this show is based on a true story, so all the things in it are real. The acting was phenomenal all around, but my favorite actor was Mark Corkins who played Unknown Male. He portrayed a real FBI Agent and he also was really funny. He really had me interested with his character, and it felt like I was really there watching the interrogation.

There was no set, which was really interesting because I’d never seen a show with no set before. I thought it was pretty great because it really helped me use my imagination. I pictured a house like mine and a golden retriever for the dog. The lighting (designed by Jason Fassl) was also really nice. It was cool how the red showed up during the redacted parts that we couldn’t hear.

I’ve never been to the Milwaukee Chamber Theatre before, and it was really good. You should go see something else there because it was a nice theatre. The seats were peak and the lobby area was really nice. Overall 10 out of 10 experience! That’s all—see you in my next review of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Bye!!!
